Chris’s many degrees and certifications include a BA in English and History from UC Irvine, a Masters in Education Organization and Leadership from University of Illinois, USATF Level II Certification Endurance Athletes and USATF Special Certification Cross-Country Coach. He has spent 20 years working as a coach, teacher, and administrator within athletics, including coaching the cross-country team at Golden Valley High School in Santa Clarita from low-ranked to a California State Championship in 5 years. He was the Cross-Country and Assistant Track and Field Coach at UC Irvine and Director of Speed and Agility for youth soccer clubs within Los Angeles. Interests include running, hiking, traveling, and spending time with family.
Fun Fact: Chris went on a 5 mile sled ride down a Swiss Alp!
Why I Rally: Trophies and medals gather dust on shelves and finishing times fade in our memories, but it is the joy and dedication and values developed on the road to those achievements that continues to impact our lives as we move away from the field.
